K-Kids Pancake Breakfast - December 6th

Our pancake breakfast will be held on Saturday, December 6th from 8-10 at the First Christian Church downtown.  Those students wishing to volunteer can come as early as 7 to help set up tables and can stay as long as 11:00 to help clean up. Please do not feel that your child has to be there the entire time. We appreciate any time that you can give. Kids will be serving pancakes, cleaning tables, and greeting people.  Santa will also be there for photos!

We have several members signed up to volunteer. We are hoping to feed lots of people since the Christmas Parade will be going on downtown on the same day. Kids should wear their K-Kids shirts if possible.

*Don't forget to log your volunteer hours! There are many opportunities for volunteering in our community this time of year. Thanks!

November 21st - Habit #3 Put First Things First

Whew! It was a busy meeting today...

*All members that were present at today's meeting received a tee shirt! We will distribute shirts to the rest of our members at future meetings.

*Members also turned in their collection boxes for Unicef from Halloween. Thanks for helping others K-Kids! If you still have yours at home, please bring it to Mrs. Lasley as soon as you can.

*Several students turned in orders for tickets for our pancake breakfast coming up on December 6th. Those tickets were sent home with the kids. We look forward to a great turnout!

Our guest speakers today were Dr. Cottongim and Mrs. Paynter. They shared with the kids how they use "Put First Things First" in their personal and professional lives. Dr. C even shared how important this habit was to him when he was a kid trying to make the middle school basketball team. It was great for our members to get to know both of these guests as more than just our Assistant Principal and Curriculum Coordinator. Thanks for coming!!

October 24th - Habit #2 Begin With the End in Mind

Mr. Greg Collins, Associate Head Coach of the WKU Lady Toppers basketball team was with us today to share how he uses Habit #2 in his life. He also shared how important this habit is to the Lady Toppers as they prepare for each new season. Goal setting and reflection is an essential part of their preparation both individually and as a team.  Coach Collins is also providing a free ticket to a Lady Topper game for each member that was present at this meeting. Those tickets should be coming home sometime before Christmas. Go Tops!

September 26th - Habit 1 Be Proactive

Today Jenny from the Humane Society joined us to share how we can "Be Proactive" with animals. Jenny brought along her dog and shared how she has fostered and adopted animals from the Humane Society. We also made dog treats for her to take back to the shelter for the animals. The kids (all 80 in attendance) had a great time and made quite a mess! Check out these pictures! Our next meeting will be Friday, Oct. 24th.
